The Council of Hong Kong Information Technology Federation met with Ir. Tony Wong, Digital Policy Commissioner, and Ms. Cari Wu, Assistant Commissioner (Mainland and Industry Collaboration), at the Digital Policy Office last Thursday afternoon. At the meeting, Tony introduced us to the work scope of the DPO and the measures and services currently being actively promoted, including Facilitating Cross-boundary Data Flow within the Greater Bay Area and iAM Smart, etc.
Moreover, Tony also explained to us the industry concerns reflected in the recent Enhance Protection of the Computer Systems of Critical Infrastructures, policy arrangements on cross-boundary data, and the regulation of desktop real-time communications software in various government departments. We also exchanged views on other IT service facilities, allowing everyone involved to gain a lot of meaningful information. The Federation also looks forward to more cooperation with DPO and contributing more to the IT industry!
